All successful companies hire successful people. There are many definitions of success, but for these purposes I mean “the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors.”
Last week we talked about goals and how to self-motivate. The most successful people usually reach their goals because they are good self-motivators. Usually you can look at a prospective job candidate’s resume and determine his previous successes and whether he will be successful at your company. One’s work ethic usually manifests itself in how long prior positions have been held, honorary degrees or awards, or general outstanding credentials. Even if someone seems unusual or on another wavelength during an interview, a resume can speak volumes more than a charming person who knows how to lay it on thick. Sometimes the harder working person is less attractive or charming, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be given a chance.
So even when you have a truck delivery service or a document storage center, and need to hire hourly workers, it’s important to keep your door open for new, talented people, who may simply be down on their luck, or who may really want to align themselves with your company.
That’s how RDS stays at the top of order fulfillment services.
